3rd Grade Year-Book

We would like to remind all 3rd Grade Parents to please submit pictures for the Lincoln School Memory Book by February 6, 2015.

  How to submit your Photos (2 different ways):

Please provide names and events for each photo if possible.

1)      Make a cd of all pictures you want to submit and bring them to the Lincoln School office for the PTA mailbox, ATTN: Anna Mahmoud, Memory Book Committee; or

2)      Submit photos directly online (these photos can only be seen by PTA Memory Book volunteers with password clearance.  (They will not be on the internet for general viewing!)

·         Go to :  https://images.schoolannualonline.com/login

·         At the site, enter username: 401863448 and password: Lincoln (make sure you enter capital “L”).  Note: this username and password will only allow you to upload photos; it does not allow you to see what others have uploaded.

·         Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.

·         Enter information about the photo and provide your contact information in case the Memory Book Committee needs additional information.

·         Click “Save Details”

Tumblers and Water-bottles Fundraiser

Holiday Boutique, Friday December 5th

Children shop with their classes and choose Holiday gifts for Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Teachers and Friends.

Holiday helpers will be on hand to assist your child with their purchases.  Prices will range from $2.00 - $5.00.

Please list the names of who your child is buying gifts for on the front of an envelope and enclose the appropriate amount of money.  Please send the envelope with your child on Friday, December 5th.

 (Please text me at 201-471-8092 if  you happen to forget that day.)

 If you are sending a check, please put the amount to be spent in the “memo line”.  Please make checks payable to “Lincoln School PTA”.

**We need many volunteers to make this event successful for the children.   We are looking for volunteers during the day on Dec 5th and for Set Up on Dec 4th beginning at 6pm.  Please let me know if you are available to volunteer.

Square 1 Art Fundraiser

The Lincoln School PTA is returning to its Square 1 Art fundraiser this year.  Your child has created a one-of-a-kind artwork at school.  In a week or two, you should receive a personalized catalog of products with your child's artwork and a free pack of stickers with your child's artwork too.  We hope you will enjoy this fundraiser and celebrate your child's artistic achievement.  These keepsakes (ornaments, travel mugs, coasters and more . . .) make wonderful gifts for family and friends.  So be on the lookout for your Square 1 Art packet

In regards to the Cookie Dough….Due to the fact that it’s frozen,  it can't be shipped on-line due to the possibility of the amount of time UPS might take to deliver it...  Therefore, if you would like to purchase these delicious cookies, just purchase the CRAZY ABOUT COOKIES Gift Card  and the dough will be delivered to you within four hours of the product leaving the freezers.

Halloween Social

Halloween Social Volunteer Information & Station Signup:

 The Social will take place in the gym on Friday, October 24th from 7 PM to 9 PM.

Please note that ONLY paid Lincoln School PTA Members are permitted to volunteer for PTA events.  If you sign up for a station but are not a paid PTA member you will not be admitted to the event.

If you wish to attend the Halloween Social (AND are a paid PTA member), please register for a station using Sign Up Genius by clicking this link:

IMPORTANT:   Please READ the description of the station before you sign.  We always have over 100 volunteers for this event, and it will be difficult to address everyone’s questions about what they are supposed to do when they arrive that evening.  If you have questions about the station, please email me in advance.

ARRIVAL TIME & PARKING:   Door Monitors & Sign-in/out volunteers are asked to arrive at 6:00.  All other volunteers should arrive at 6:30 to set up their station.   Please park in a legal space.  The police will be in the area to direct traffic, they will give tickets if you are not parked legally.

CLEAN-UP:   We have a huge amount of Halloween decorations, crafts, etc.  Please spend a few minutes to ensure that your station is properly cleaned up at the end of the party.  This is a popular event as everyone wants to attend the social and observe their children enjoying themselves.  We appreciate this and allow many more volunteers then we actually need to run the event.  Please keep this in mind when you are cleaning up your station at the end of the night.  It’s very frustrating for the handful of us that stay late cleaning up when half eaten snacks and other garbage is tossed in bins with decorations, dirty snack bowls are left stacked up in the kitchen and empty tattoo wrappers and wet sponges are thrown in the bag with the left over tattoos.  We try to stretch the PTA dollars by reusing leftover supplies, please be mindful of this when you are packing up and hurrying out.

SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT:  Volunteers, please don’t forget to sign your child in and especially out. 

NO SIBLINGS:  This event is for Lincoln School students in grades 1-3 only.  Due to the popularity of this event the gym will be near capacity.  The NO SIBLINGS rule will be strictly enforced.

Meet & Greet

With our new Superintendent, Mr. Jack Hurley
The Rutherford PTAs are pleased to invite you to a Meet & Greet to help welcome Mr. Hurley to his new role as Superintendent of the Rutherford School District.

When: Wednesday October 15th at 7:00-9:00pm
                        (Mr. Hurley will speak briefly at7:30pm)
Where: Rutherford High School Library – Elliot Pl. middle entrance

Whether you’ve known Mr. Hurley since you were a student yourself, or if you’re meeting him for the first time, this is a great opportunity to come and hear a few words, ask a question or just enjoy some refreshments!  We hope to see you there.
AND….Save the Date – Tuesday October 21st the PTAs are sponsoring a Candidates’ Night with the candidates who are running for the Board of Education this November - Tuesday the 21st at7:30-9:30 at the HS Cafeteria.  Mark your calendar and plan to be there to make a well informed vote on November 4th.
